Thanks again Nathan. yeah the tree is free hand, and in full bloom. Looks nicer than an old dying leafless tree.

You probably know this but use a medium to wet the GS and handle it very lightly. You can also try cutting and shaping GS under water by placing it in a tray of water, thats particularly useful for banners and cloaks. If I can reach the GS with my finger I'll use that to smooth it out, if not I'll use some Clay Shapers (aka Colour Shapers), their tools with soft rubber tips that don't leave heavy marks on the GS like their metal counter parts, their real handy for making smooth and subtle marks.
I don't know if the GS paint would cover up finger marks, I've only used it to fill in small gaps too but I cant see why it shouldn't work.

That is so cool! I really like your style of painting, the pastely colours really complement each other nicely and look really natural. Amazing! I would love to give your technique a try if you could write a tutorial explaining each step that would be great! Or post a tutorial that has already been written. Thanks in advance, love your work!

Much appreciated Dom. I generally follow the basic painting style of Base colour, mid-tones, highlights and then shading. The only difference is that I mix dark grey into some of the base colours to get that Pastel look.
I have no tutorial for this yet, sorry. I didn't even take notes while painting, I'll get on it though with the next miniature I paint.

So you highlight everything and then wash to shade afterwards? I was also wondering about what you made the flag from?

First I paint the shade colour, then the mid tone colours and then the highlights, and then paint over any shaded areas that get covered in the process. Highlighting first and then shading with a wash works fine too.
The flag is made from Sculpey iii.

Is the flag made with greenstuff or miliput?
